Parks and Recreation announces registrations The Holly Springs Parks and Recreation Department announces registrations for several activities. Parks and Rec is registering youth who want to participate in baseball and softball for boys and girls ages 4-16. Registration will be held at City Hall, 160 South Memphis Street. Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The last day to register is Friday, Feb. 15. For more information, call 662-252-4807. The Holly Springs Parks and Recreation Department is also offering basketball registration for the men’s 35 and older league and women’s league. There will be a coaches’ meeting on Monday, Jan. 28, at 6 p.m. at the Eddie Lee Smith Multi-Purpose Building, located on North Memphis Street. Call 662-252-4807 for more information. There will also be a meeting concerning Tae Kwon Do at the Eddie Lee Smith Multi-Purpose Building on January 28 at 6:30 p.m. This is for youth and adults. Call 662-252-4807 for more information. Rust College hosts Philander Smith Thursday night at McMillan Center The Rust College Lady Bearcats and Bearcats will host Philander Smith this week in the McMillan Multi-Purpose Center gym. On Thursday, Jan. 17, the Lady Bearcats and the Bearcats will play the Lady Panthers and Panthers beginning at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.
