Waterford News Elmira Curry
Sunrise Chapter #166 to attend workshop Inspired to love! But
I say to you that listen, love your enemies. Do good to those who hate
you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who abuse you. If anyone
strikes you on the cheek, offer the other also; and from anyone who
takes away your coat, do not withhold even your shirt. Luke 6:27-29. We
are so pleased that God has spared us to witness the coming of a new
year. God is a good God. We should show a little more love to one
another for the blessings He has bestowed upon us. There
are churches around us with their doors open every Sunday and some
weeknights, so let us give more of our time going out and taking part
in worship service, listening to the Word of God. Get inspired and take it to those who need to hear God’s word. Worship
services are held at Greenfield Presbyterian, Hamilton Chapel CME,
Walton Chapel, Wilkins Chapel and many other churches in Marshall
County and the entire state and the surrounding areas and throughout
the world. Delois Plaxico and Elmira Curry
attended the Women’s Conference at Jones Grove MB Church Sat., Jan. 12.
It was a conference that was inspiring to the listeners. Mrs.
Plaxico, Mrs. Curry and Ms. C. Plaxico visited Pearlie Whitlock
Saturday afternoon at the Alliance HealthCare System. Then, they
visited residents in Trinity Mission Rehab for more than two hours. We
had a chance to pray with some of the residents. Rev.
Coker George delivered an inspiring message at Greenfield Church on
Sunday morning. Music was by the young adult choir with Jeremy on the
drums. The highlight of our Sunday service
started at 9:30 a.m. with Supt. Sis. Mary Mull calling the house to
order. Opening song, Holy, Holy, Holy, followed by Scripture and prayer
by Deacon Robert C. Curry. Song, What A Friend We Have In Jesus. Lesson
theme: Inspired by love, taught by Deacon Robert C. Curry, with input
from the entire class. We, the pastor and members
of Greenfield Church say thank you to former members and guests that
recently gave a donation to help support the building fund. To
the members of Sunrise Chapter #166 O.E.S., we are scheduled to attend
a workshop at the Philadelphia Chapter on Saturday, Jan. 19.
