Behind The Scoreboard NBA playoffs The NBA playoffs have come down to what is plainly obvious – the best teams in the league are doing battle for the two conference crowns. Kudzu Run Friday night Runners will once again try to “conquer the Kudzu” Friday night in Holly Springs. The annual Killer Kudzu 5K will begin at 7 p.m. There will also be a one-mile run, plus live music. Registration begins at 6 p.m. The Killer Kudzu 5K is presented by designthespace.com. It benefits the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. The Killer Kudzu 5K and one-mile begin and end on the town square. The beautiful course runs past antebellum homes and historic sites throughout Holly Springs. This RRCA-sanctioned course is challenging -– a great opportunity to test yourself. Awards will be presented for the top three male and female overall winners, plus first, second and third-place trophies in the various age groups. Visit www.kudzu5k.com for complete registration and race information. Holly Springs schedules summer camp The City of Holly Springs announces its summer youth camp. It will be held June 2-July 3 from 8 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday, at the Eddie L. Smith Multi-Purpose Building. The camp is for boys and girls ages 11-15 with a limit of 100 participants. Registration fee is $40. You may register at City Hall Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The last day to register is June 3.
