Springs Chamber hosts membership lunch Thursday
The Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce Membership Luncheon will be held Thursday, May 29, at 12 noon at Annie’s Restaurant.
Guest speakers will be Sam Agnew with the Mississippi Main Street Association and Lindsay Buford with Chamber Plus Insurance.
Tickets are $12 for members (pre-sold) and $15 for non-members or at the door.

Holly Spring police officers made several arrests last week.
Dallas Walls Jr., 22, of Holly Springs, was arrested May 19 on an outstanding warrant charging theft of a motor vehicle, said chief Robert Pearson.
On Tuesday, May 20, officers arrested Larry D. Pointer III, 34, of Holly Springs. Pointer was charged with domestic violence aggravated assault.
Also Tuesday, officers arrested Christopher Campbell, 21, of Holly Springs, on charges of possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest, Pearson said.
Officers are investigating an armed robbery call in the 100 block of Whaley Drive around 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, May 21. The store attendant described the robbery suspect as a black male wearing all black clothing and a black covering that looked like a stocking over his face. The suspect came into the store demanding money, Pearson said, and held a shiny, silver colored gun.
On Friday, May 23, officers arrested Jacquisha Denise Sims, 21, of Shaw, Pearson said. Sims was charged with possession of weapons on school property, Pearson said.
An auto burglary was reported on Highway 7 South, Saturday, May 24. The owner stated she parked her 2002 green Chrysler at a business while sitting down to eat. Thirty minutes later she looked out the window and noticed her car was gone, Pearson said.
In an incident, Sunday, May 25, he said officers arrested Darnell Crumb, 50, of Holly Springs, on charges of felony driving under the influence.
Officers responded to the following additional activities for the week ending May 27, including: driving while license suspended (10); no driver’s license (4); no tag/expired tag (4); no proof of insurance (16); careless driving (3); reckless driving (1); disregard for traffic device (6); seat belt violation (27); child restraint (7); disorderly conduct (3); driving under the influence (4); trespassing (2); and false identification (1).
