Alliance, Williams Clinic health fair set for Thursday
The eighth annual Eddie L. Smith Community Health Fair is set for Thursday.
It
will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, May 15, at the Holly
Springs Multi-Purpose Building, 235 North Memphis Street. There will be
blood pressure checks, height, weight and vision screenings and much
more.

Eddie L. Smith Community Health Fair is a community service program
provided by Alliance HealthCare System and Williams Medical Clinic.
Chamber of commerce lunch May 29 in Holly Springs
The Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce Membership Luncheon will be held Thursday, May 29, at 12 noon at Annie’s Restaurant.
Guest speakers will be Sam Agnew with the Mississippi Main Street Association and Lindsay Buford with Chamber Plus Insurance.
Tickets are $12 for members (pre-sold) and $15 for non-members or at the door.

Holly Springs police nab assault, burglary suspects
Holly Springs police recently made assault and burglary arrests.
Chief Robert Pearson said James Glover, 45, of Holly Springs, was arrested Tuesday, May 6, on charges of aggravated assault.
Valentine
Jannice (AKA: Ralston Jannice), 40, of Oxford, and Joe L. Dukes, 44, of
Holly Springs were arrested last week on charges of burglary of a
commercial building, according to Pearson.
Officers
also responded to the following activities last week – driving while
license suspended, two; no proof of insurance, one; careless driving,
one; reckless driving, one; simple assault, one; disorderly conduct,
one; resisting arrest, one; petit larceny, one; malicious mischief,
one; loud music, one.
The Holly Springs Police
Department will be participating in the Mississippi Click It or Ticket
Campaign May 19-June 1. Over the next several weeks, drivers in
Mississippi who don’t buckle up or fail to buckle up children will face
the increased threat of a traffic ticket.

Callers are not asked to give their name when providing tips to law enforcement and may be entitled to a reward of up to $1,000.
