SocietyCity Personals Lauren Webb and Luke Mitchell honored with parties over the holidays Lauren Webb visited during the Christmas holidays with Walter and Vicki Webb, joining her other siblings. Luke Mitchell, Lauren’s fiance, and his parents, Gil and Janet Mitchell of Oklahoma City, Okla., came later in the week for the parties honoring Luke and Lauren. Other out-of-town guests were Dr. and Mrs. S.W. Pearson of Louisville, Mr. and Mrs. Brewer Pearson of Madison and Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Kiel of Memphis. Walter’s sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Reed of Fort Worth, Tx., were also here to attend the wedding parties for Luke and Lauren. Alice Bell Totten of Moss Point, Dr. and Mrs. John Stoudenmire and Laura Lennep of Pascagoula, Vickie Buchanan May of Union, Ken., Jim Buchanan of Baton Rouge, La., Mack and Judy Buchanan of New Albany, Minor Buchanan of Jackson, Alice Buchanan of Auburn, Ala., Debbie and Andy Buchanan, Frances Buchanan, Helen and Frank Hopkins of Phoenix, Ariz., Frank Hopkins Jr., of New York, N.Y. and Theresa Wittjen Quinn of Memphis, Tenn., all attended the funeral of Jim Totten of Atlanta, Ga., on Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Alan Thompson of Holly Springs announce the forthcoming marriage of their daughter Tara Leigh to Jeffrey Ryan Gaddy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Allen Gaddy of Birmingham, Ala. The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Proctor of Mt. Pleasant, the late Billy Shaw of Laws Hill, and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Thompson of Hickory Flat. Miss Thompson is a 2000 graduate of Marshall Academy. She received a bachelor of accountancy from Mississippi State University, where she graduated cum laude. Miss Thompson was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She is a May 2007 graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law. She also received her master’s in taxation in December 2007 from the University of Mississippi. The prospective bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Harvey of Aiken, S.C. and Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Gaddy Jr. of Clinton, S.C. Mr. Gaddy is a 2000 graduate of Hoover High School. He received a bachelor’s degree in human resource management from Auburn University, where he graduated magna cum laude. He was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity. Mr. Gaddy is also a May 2007 cum laude graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law. Mr. Gaddy is currently employed with the State Attorney’s Office as an assistant state attorney in Pensacola, Fla. The couple will exchange vows at 3 p.m. January 19, 2008, at the Cadre Building in Memphis, Tenn., with the reception immediately following. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Rondle Strickland Jr. announce the engagement of their daughter, Cameron Lamar to Jason Delane Rhea. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Van Malone of Ripley and Mr. and Mrs. Odis Eugene Rhea of Michigan City. Miss Strickland is the granddaughter of Mrs. Wesley Rondle Strickland Sr. of Southaven, formerly of Holly Springs, and the late Mr. Strickland. Her maternal grandmother is the Honorable Annie Mae Wilson of Carrollton. Maternal grandfather is the late James Frank Wilson of Carrollton. Miss Strickland graduated from Marshall Academy and Northwest Community College and attended the University of Mississippi. She is a paralegal with the law firm of Jones and Schneller. Mr. Rhea’s paternal grandparents are the late Otis Rhea and the late Dora Mae Rhea of Holly Springs. Maternal grandmother is Mrs. James Michael Haffey of Mt. Pleasant and the late Mr. Haffey of Memphis, Tenn. Mr. Rhea graduated from Marshall Academy and attended Northwest Community College. He is employed with Northcentral Electric Power Association in Byhalia. Miss Strickland and Mr. Rhea will be united in marriage on March 29, 2008.
