receives high honors
Nathan
Holbrook, son of Larry Holbrook and grandson of Wanda Holbrook of Holly
Springs, is the valedictorian of West Union’s 2008 graduating
class.
Nathan plans to attend Mississippi State University in the fall and
study physics and electrical engineering.
Nathan
is at the top of the 2008 graduating class with a 4.0 GPA.
At
West Union, he participated in the Beta Club, received various subject
area awards, and earned perfect scores on both the biology and U.S.
History state tests. He was also a member of the homecoming court and
voted Most Intellectual of his graduating class.
In
his spare time, Nathan enjoys playing the acoustic and electric
guitars, harmonica and keyboard.
He
gives this advice to younger students, “Actually do the
work. People
don’t do well because they don’t try, not because
they cannot do the
work.”
