Marie Boyd, 72, of Byhalia, died April 5, 2008 at
Sommerville, Tenn. She was the widow of Charles E. Boyd and a Baptist.
Services
were held at 1 p.m. on April 11 at Holly Springs
Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hernando.
She
leaves her son, Timothy Whiteside of Oakland, Tenn.; three
stepsons, William E. Boyd, Paul D. Boyd, both of Memphis, Tenn., Joseph
A. Boyd of Hernando; two stepdaughters, Susan Renee Cummings of
Byhalia, Pamela Jean Boyd of Memphis, Tenn.; two brothers, Harry Graves
of Collierville, Tenn., Willie Graves of Hickory Valley, Tenn.; six
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Paulette Brooks

Brooks, 56, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Chicago,
Ill., died April 1, 2008 in Memphis.
Services
were held at 1 p.m. on April 5 at Wyatte Community
Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rodgers Funeral Home in
Coldwater was in charge of arrangements.
She
leaves four daughters, Lisa Ann Sanders of Chicago, Ill.,
Kimberly Brooks, Latoya Brooks, both of Memphis, Tenn., Tiffany Brooks
of Jackson; four sons, Alonzo Sanders, Marvin Sanders, both of Holly
Springs, Troy Sanders of Chicago, Ill., Cordell Andrew Brooks of
Memphis, Tenn.; three sisters, Diane Scruggs of Rochester, Minn.,
Shirley Mims of Victoria, Deborah Ann Miller of Holly Springs; seven
brothers, Douglas Hardin of Holly Springs, Tommy C. Miller, Willie
Melvin Miller, both of Byhalia, Eddie Malone of Memphis, Tenn., Larry
Miller of Chicago, Ill., Sammy Miller of Rochester, Minn. William
Miller of Virginia; and nine grandchildren.
Emmett D. Holbrook
Emmett
D. Holbrook, 75, of Holly Springs, died April 7, 2008,
at Trinity Mission in Holly Springs. A Baptist, he was a line foreman
with the Holly Springs Utility Department. He was an Army veteran.
Services
will be at 11 a.m. on April 10 at Holly Springs
Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Hill Crest Cemetery. Bro. Tony
Roberts will officiate.
He
leaves his wife, Eunice Holbrook; four sons, Kenneth
Holbrook, Clifford D. Holbrook, Henry Holbrook and Jeffery
Holbrook, all of Holly Springs; a sister, Nell Means of Puckett; eight
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers
will be members of the Holly Springs Fire
Department.
David Hughes

S. Hughes, 49, of Lamar, died April 6, 2008 at Baptist
Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford. He was an auto mechanic.
A
memorial service will be held at a later date. Waller
Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
He
leaves his wife, Lynette Hughes; a daughter, Shonna Marie
Hughes of Lamar; three sons, Lee G. Hughes of Lamar, Jimmy Hughes of
Horn Lake, William K. Hughes of Lamar; his mother, Virginia Durley of
Hernando; a sister, Lisha Myrick of Nesbit; two brothers, Sheldon
Hughes of Byhalia, Robert Hughes of Olive Branch; and six grandchildren.
Selma Louise Mosby
Selma
Louise Mosby, 77, of New Albany, died April 6, 2008 at
Trinity Missions in Holly Springs. She was the widow of Leroy Mosby.
She served on the usher board for 45 years and was a health care helper
for the elderly.
Services
were held at 1 p.m. at St. Mark MB Church, where she
was a member. Burial was in Charity Hill Cemetery. Rev. Derrick Gibbs
officiated. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She
leaves her daughter, Bernice Isom of Holly Springs; a
brother, Bob Thompson of Milwaukee, Wisc.; a sister, Verlean Mitchell
of Milwaukee, Wisc.; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
