Raising funds for Spay/Neuter Clinic
Spring is here and the whole world is busy. Birds are building nests, people are cleaning houses and mowing yards and plants are growing. The Marshall County Humane Society has a special reason to get busy – the completion of our animal shelter so we can reopen the Spay/Neuter Clinic.
Next Saturday, April 5, weather permitting, we’re having a giant rummage sale at Southern Villa Apartments on N. West St. in Holly Springs, just across the street from Holy Family Catholic School. We’ll be there from 7 a.m. until we run out of stuff or customers.
Then, on Saturday, April 19, we’ll have our annual Pancake Breakfast at the VFW in Holly Springs, whether it rains or not. We’ll be open from 7-10 a.m. and will feed you all the pancakes and sausage you can eat for $5 each.
After we get all our animals fed, the proceeds from both events will all be used to continue work on the shelter to make a place for the Spay/Neuter Clinic. It’s obvious people want the clinic back because they’re still calling for appointments. So, come out, stuff your face, have a good time and help get our Spay/Neuter Clinic reopened.
If you are a hummingbird fan it’s time to wash the feeders and fill them up again. The scouts are already here looking for food.
