Love and sympathy extended to local families
Funeral services were held for Ean Anderson, at Slayden Baptist Church, Sunday February 11. Rev. David Bishop officiated. Burial was in Carey Chapel Cemetery.
New committee formed at meeting
It’s Pot Luck weekend again. We sure are an active community. Just give us a reason to get together (mention food) and we’re all for it. Last month Charlie brought chicken and dumplings instead of his famous stuffed peppers. Now, everyone wants him to bring both dishes every time.
Potts Camp First Baptist delivers Valentine’s baskets
The Potts Camp First Baptist Church delivered Valentine baskets to many of their members and friends, some who are ill and elderly. Former pastor Fowler and Mrs. Fowler, who moved back to Potts Camp and built a lovely new home, delivered some of the baskets.
Singing Union held
Hopewell No. 1 members’ birthdays in February: Sidney Govan, 7; Kevin Govan Sr., 1; Mary Jane Faulkner, 14; Tiera Zinn, 15; Yvonne Pinson, 18; Beauty DeBerry, 18; Dayton Reed Jr.; Eleisha Walton, 28.
During worship service Sunday a beautiful duet was sung.
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Crittle celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary. We wish to congratulate them.
