MA Science Club adopts zoo animals
The Marshall Academy Science Club members are the proud adoptive parents of several animals living at The Memphis Zoo. These animals include the giant pandas and a chinchilla. Pictured above are the officers of the club and their sponsor: Hannah Cook (treasurer), Micaela Delashmit (secretary), Mrs. Carey Crain (sponsor), Jessica Taylor (vice-president), and Anna Owens (president). Also, this year the annual Science Fair, sponsored by this organization, is hosting an optional Science Fair. Science students in grades 7-12 were given the option of choosing whether or not to do a project. The optional fair will be held in individual science classes on February 21.

Victoria Nabors listed on honor roll

Victoria Nabors, a first grade student in Mrs. Hall and Mrs. Scott’s classroom at Holly Springs Primary School, made the honor roll for the second nine weeks. Her teachers and parents are very proud of her.

President’s and Dean’s lists at BMC announced

Dr. Sharon Enzor, vice president for academic affairs at Blue Mountain College, announced that 53 students were named to the President’s List and 42 students were named to the Dean’s List for the 2006 fall semester.

BMC students from Marshall County named to the President’s List include: Renee A. Edlin, Potts Camp; Brook E. Hale, Potts Camp; Christina Teel, Mt. Pleasant; and Rita J. Burge, Potts Camp.

Dana Holtzlander from Potts Camp made the Dean’s List.
