Delbridge Ford
Lucendia
Delbridge Ford, 83, of D’Iberville, formerly of Waterford,
died Dec.
17, 2007 at her home. She was the widow of Robert Ford. She was a
retired cook with Wall Doxey State Park.
Services
were held at 11:30 a.m. on Dec. 22 at Spring Hill MB Church in
Waterford, where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Rev. George Marion officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was
in charge of arrangements.
She
leaves a daughter,
Bettie L. Bell of Chicago, Ill.; her grandson who cared for her, Billy
Bell of D’Iberville; a sister, Selina Booker of West Memphis,
Ark.; a
brother, Albert (Bubba) Delbridge of Holly Springs; 11 grandchildren
and 37 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers
were her grandsons.
She
was preceded in death by her
son, Melvin (Jr. Bell) Bell Jr.

E. Ford
James
E. Ford, 58, of Memphis, Tenn., died Oct. 10, 2007 at his home. He was
a native of Panola County. He was an Army veteran and was retired from
the U.S. Postal Service.
Memorial
services were
held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 19 at Hodges Funeral Home Chapel. Elder Raymond
Ford Jr. officiated. Burial was in Memphis National Cemetery.
He
leaves a son, Ricky Market of Chicago, Ill.; six sisters, Marguerite
Gipson of Holly Springs, Thelma Willingham, Lottie Parker, both of
Memphis, Tenn., Georgia Ford of Sardis, Jessie Finlayson of Tampa,
Fla., Earline Blake of Oxford; four brothers, elder Raymond Ford of
Warner Robins, Georgia, Franklin Ford Sr., Dorris Ford of Sardis,
Gerald Ford of Amarillo, Tx.; and one grandson.

months old, died Dec. 17, 2007 in Red Banks.
Graveside
services were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 22 at Concord MB Church Cemetery
in Slayden. Rev. Clyde Williams officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
She
leaves her mother and father, LaToya Bowen Gorman and Matthew Gorman of
Holly Springs; a brother, Monterious Dreshun Gorman of Holly Springs;
grandmothers Clara Bowen of Slayden, Josephine Gorman of Holly Springs;
and her grandfather, Kimmie Waller of Memphis, Tenn.

Charlie
Young Sr., 86, of Grand Junction, Tenn., died Dec. 16, 2007 at Baptist
Memorial Hospital - East. He was a self-employed farmer.
Services
were held at 12 noon on Dec. 22 at Pleasant Grove MB Church, Grand
Junction, Tenn. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Manuel Donis
officiated. Serenity Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
He
leaves his children, Myrtle Young, Ricky Young, both of Grand Junction,
Tenn., William Danny Young of Middleton, Tenn., Ruby Buggs, Rena Shaw,
both of Memphis, Tenn.; and two sisters, Allie Young of Grand Junction,
Osnell Meadows of Memphis.
He
was preceded in death by his
wife and children, Charlie Young Jr., Annie Woodley, O.C. Young and
Jimmy Parker.
