Job Fair February 19
The Marshall-Benton Area Job Fair continues to recruit employers for the February 19, 2008, event in Holly Springs.
Anyone who is an employer with jobs or who knows of an employer with job opportunities is asked to register with the Governor’s Job Fair Network. Booth fees cost only $125 and include lunch, breakfast snacks and conveniences.
The fair in Holly Springs will be the fourth for the two counties and will kick off Gov. Haley Barbour’s job fair season for 2008.
Last year the job fair offered 235 jobs the day of the fair. Job seekers and employees have the opportunity to meet face to face.
“The job fair speaks for itself,” said Joe Bucker, director of the Governor’s Job Fair Network. “If employers are not getting the applicants they need at these fairs, they won’t come back. They come back every year.”
The network served 1,000 employers and took 19,000 applications statewide last year.
Anyone who knows of an employer who has jobs, please contact the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce at 662-252-2943 or the Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce at 662-838-8127.
