Registration deadline nears for Leadership Marshall
Leadership
Marshall County 2008 begins with an overnight retreat Jan. 24-25.
This
is the fourth session of Leadership Marshall, which trains today’s
leaders to become visionaries for the future of the area.
Class
enrollment is set for about 30, with the enrollment deadline of January
15.
Participation
in these classes has historically been diverse, including local elected
officials, school administrators, business and corporate leaders and
staff, bankers and individuals taking advantage of self-improvement and
networking opportunities.
Monthly
meetings will be rotated around the county.

Early deadlines in place for next week’s newspaper There
will be early deadlines for next week’s edition of The South Reporter,
due to the Christmas holiday.
Deadline
for all classified advertising for the December 27 newspaper will be
this Thursday, Dec. 20, at 5 p.m.
Deadline
for all display advertising, legal notices, news and photographs is
this Friday, Dec. 21, at 12 noon.
The
South Reporter will be delivered on the regular schedule next week.
The
South Reporter office will close at 12 noon on Christmas Eve and remain
closed through Christmas Day. It will reopen December 26 at 8 a.m. Call
252-4261 or 838-4844.

The
Marshall County Board of Supervisors is holding a reception for
retiring elected officials and incumbents who were not re-elected this
year.

reception honoring the service of Fred
M. Belk Jr., (county attorney), Ronnie Johnson (tax assessor), John
Garrison (coroner) and Ralph Doxey (Senate District 2) will be held
Thursday, December 20, between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. in Courtroom B on
Market Street in Holly Springs.
The
public is cordially invited to attend.
Government offices closing Christmas Eve, Christmas Day City
and county offices will be closed Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 24-25, for
the Christmas holidays.
They
will reopen Wednesday morning, Dec. 26, for regular hours.
