Byers Lady Lions traveled almost 1,000 miles round trip last weekend to battle one of Kentucky’s best. The boys improved to 23-8 and the girls to 29-7 with wins over Magnolia Heights, Lee (Clarksdale) and Kirk. Hannah pouring in points for Paris By BARRY BURLESON The Paris (Texas) Junior College Dragons are on fire, in large part due to the play of a former Holly Springs High School Hawk, Clevin Hannah. Byhalia Sports Association announces registration for spring and summer sports Byhalia Sports Association has provided recreational softball and baseball for youth in the Byhalia area since 1993, serving approximately 200 children each year. Again this year the plan is to play the majority of our games within the county. Registration for spring and summer girls softball for ages 7 – 16 and baseball for youth ages 4 - 14 will be held on Saturday, February 3, from 10 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Byhalia Town Hall. A second registration will be held on Saturday February 10, from 1-4 p.m. at Byhalia Town Hall. Open registration will end on February 10 at 4 p.m. A waiting list will be formed after this time and children placed on teams only if there is room on a team in their age group. A photocopy of the child’s birth certificate must be turned in along with a recent school picture and fee payment of $65 per child. It is important to register on the first day if at all possible to ensure your child’s place on a team. Your child will need to be fitted for a uniform, so please bring them to registration. Practice will start as soon as the weather and field conditions allow.
