Laura Elizabeth Boogaerts and Michael Scott Greene were united in marriage June 9, 2007 at Asbury United Methodist Church in Bossier City, La. with Rev. Alan Bohl officiating. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Boogaerts of Benton, La. The bridegroom is the son of Carolyn Greene Herting of Mandeville, La. and the late Edwin E. Greene III. A reception was held at the Petroleum Club in Shreveport, La. The bride graduated from Louisiana Tech University where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega. She is currently employed as merchandising manager at American Factory Direct Furniture Company, Mandeville, La. She is the granddaughter of Elizabeth Henry Anderson of Minden, La. and the late Earl Watts Anderson and the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Edward Boogaerts. Mr. Greene graduated from the University of Mississippi and was a member of Sigma Nu fraternity. He is employed as account manager with First Financial Group, Covington, La. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin E. Greene Jr. of Spring, Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Andrew J. Bowie of Holly Springs. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Reagh of Byhalia are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Lee, to Christopher Byron Knapp of Oxford. Mr. Knapp is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Knapp of Oxford. Heather is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Karl J. Bromley of North Port, Fla., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Leon Reagh of Byhalia. The bride-elect is a graduate of Marshall Academy in Holly Springs and a 2005 graduate of the University of Mississippi in Oxford with a degree in marketing. She is currently pursuing her career in marketing management. Christopher is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hartmengruber of Midland, Tx and the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul W. Knapp of Houston, Tx. The prospective groom is a graduate of North Delta Academy in Batesville. He attended Northwest Community College prior to enlisting in the U.S. Army. Chris is presently enrolled at Ashford University completing his degree in business. He is currently deployed to Iraq. The couple plans a December 2007 wedding when SPC Knapp returns from Iraq. Billy and Becky Nelson of Independence, and Roy and Sherry Bullion of Olive Branch, would like to announce the upcoming marriage of their children, Sarah Nelson and Jesse Bullion. The couple will exchange vows during a ceremony at 2 p.m. Dec. 15, 2007 at Betts Baptist Church in Independence. A reception will follow at 4 p.m. at the groom’s parents’ home in Olive Branch. Bridal attendants will be Lynn Glosson, Stephane Davis, Jennifer Jarman and Cynthia Bullion. Groom attendants will be William Jarman, Ronnie Glosson, T.J. Drumm and the groom’s brother, Josh Bullion. The bride is the granddaughter of Bill Sr. and Pat Nelson of Millington, Tenn., and Shirley Gaskill of Texarkana, Ark. She has a sister, Jennifer Davis of Fort Riley, Kan., and a brother, Billy Nelson of Independence. She graduated from Independence High School. The prospective groom is the grandson of Barbara Bridgewater of Byhalia, the late Robert Gray and the late Charles and Joyce Wilson. He graduated from Gateway Christian School and is employed with Truck Market in Olive Branch. Along with their three-month-old daughter, Summer, the couple will reside in Byhalia.
Cisco-Downen vows said in October 13 ceremony at The Memphis Botanic Gardens Mitcie Laine Downen and Kevin Shea Cisco were united in marriage on Saturday, Oct. 13 at The Memphis Botanic Gardens in Memphis. The Rev. Bill Christian officiated. The reception followed in Hardin Hall at The Botanic Garden. The bride is the daughter of Kathy Goforth of Poolville, Tx., and Richard Mayer of Brighton, Tenn. The groom is the son of Keith and Charlene Cisco of Slayden. The bride and groom are both employed at 1st Tennessee, Capital Markets Division. After returning from their honeymoon in Tankah Bay, Mexico, they are living in Millington, Tenn.
