Fred Q. Barnes
Fred
Q. Barnes, 74, of Byhalia, died Nov. 25, 2007 at Baptist DeSoto
Hospital in Southaven. He had been employed as a welder for Warbrooks
Company in Memphis, Tenn. He was a member of Mt. Calvary Pentecostal
Church.
Services
were held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 29 at McBride Funeral Home Chapel. Burial
was in Antioch Cemetery in Tippah County. Bro. Billy Watkins and Bro.
Buddy Gordon officiated.
He
leaves four daughters, Betty Jean Leopard of Potts Camp, Hazel Hilton
of Hickory Flat, Teresa Turner, Melissa Rhea, both of Byhalia; two
sons, Gary Leon Barnes of Byhalia, Billy Joe Barnes of Victoria; two
sisters, Mildred Green of Ripley, Maydeen Evans of Hickory Flat; three
brothers, Bill Barnes of Oxford, Robert Barnes of Falkner, Allen
McCullen of Blue Springs; the step-mother of his children, Molly Faye
Baker; 20 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers
were Jacob Briscoe, Will Brisco, Daniel Turner, Lynn Burge, Bradley
Shook and Coy Leon Barnes. Honorary pallbearers were Mark Leopard,
Anthony Rhea and Matt Barnes.
He
was preceded in death by two sons, Herman Ray Barnes, Leroy Barnes; two
brothers, James A. Barnes, Henry McCullen; and the mother of his
children, Hattie Barnes.
Therman Ivey
Therman
Ivey, 74, of Michigan City, formerly of Aurora, Ill., died Nov. 27,
2007 at NEARMC.
Services
will be held on Dec. 6 at Chulahoma Baptist Church. Burial will be in
the church cemetery. Goodson Funeral Home of Anniston Ala. is
charge of arrangements.
He
leaves sons, John Ivy, Anthony Ivy, Timothy Ivy; daughters,
Charlene Reynolds, Lori Ingram; sisters, Katherine Caldwell, Margaret
Paige, Marie Strickland, Arlene Johnson; 16 grandchildren and seven
great-grandchildren.
He
was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Charles Edward Jones
Charles
Edward (Bonny) Jones, 52, of Holly Springs, died Nov. 26, 2007 at his
home. He was disabled.
Services
were held at 11 a.m. on Dec. 1 at Hopewell No. 2 MB Church, where he
was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Tony Wilkins
officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.
He
leaves his wife, Patricia Ann Fields Glover; two daughters, Crystal
LaWanda Jones of Atlanta, Ga., Charita Lvetta Jones of Victoria; a son,
Darryl Edward Jones of Jackson; six sisters, Estella Carter of San
Diego, Calif., Doris Boyd of Anniston, Ala., Helen L. Jones of Atlanta,
Ga., Nina Brice, Josephine Stinson, Cynthia Jeffries, all of Holly
Springs, three brothers, Fred Crumb, Sam Jones, Henry Jones, all of
Holly Springs; and three grandchildren.

were Henry James Harris, Tracy Lesure, Earnest Marion, Sam Jones III,
James Lewis Rooks, John Lucas, Robert Seal Jefferies, James Stinson and
Lee Stinson. Honorary pallbearers were Nicholas Crumb, Jarvis Crumb,
Sam Jones Jr., Justin Crumb, Fred I. Crumb and Henry G. Jones.

P. Lagomarsino, 58, of Byhalia, died Nov. 27 2007 in Byhalia. He was
Catholic and a mechanic with Barloworld Handling.

James Lawrence Luttrell
James
Lawrence Luttrell, 63, of Hernando, died Nov. 25, 2007 at his home. He
was a Baptist, an employee of UPS and a U.S. Army veteran.

were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 29 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel.

leaves his wife, Sharon Luttrell; a son, James L. Luttrell Jr. of San
Diego, Calif.; two daughters, Gina Rene Walker of Madison, Tenn.,

Luttrell of Ripley; two sisters, Martha Perkins of Byhalia, Kathy

A. Malone, 74, of Memphis, Tenn., died Nov. 23, 2007 at Veterans
Hospital. He was an honorably discharged veteran.

were held at 1 p.m. on Dec. 1 at Strawberry Baptist Church. Burial was
in Cottrell Memorial Gardens. Rev. Willie Jeffries officiated. Serenity
Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
