Christmas Parade Saturday in downtown Holly Springs
The Holly Springs Christmas
Parade, sponsored by the chamber of commerce, will be held this
Saturday, Dec. 1, at 5 p.m.
The
parade, which will roll through the downtown area, will feature floats,
antique cars, bands and much more. Grand marshal is Arvern Moore.

Byhalia hosting array of Christmas-related festivities The Byhalia Area Chamber of
Commerce announces some upcoming activities as the holiday season
arrives.
The
annual Chamber Celebration is Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Southern Corner
on Church Street and Hwy. 309 in downtown Byhalia. The reception starts
at 6 p.m., with an auction and dinner to follow.
Awards will be presented and
there will be jazz by Jerry Smith. Tickets are $20. After Nov. 26,
tickets are $25.
Friday,
Dec. 7, will be the annual Christmas Tree Lighting and Visit With
Santa. It will be held at the Byhalia Fire Department from 6 p.m. to 8
p.m. and includes a chili supper and visits with Santa. The event
benefits the Byhalia Volunteer Fire Department.
Holiday Business Open House in
Byhalia is from December 7-14. Look for the red and green bows.
The
Holiday Home-Based Business Open House is Friday, Dec. 14, at the
chamber office, 2452 Church Street, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Deadline January 15 for Leadership Marshall County Leadership Marshall begins with
an overnight retreat Jan. 24-25.
This is the fourth session of
Leadership Marshall which trains today’s leaders to become visionaries
for the future of the area.
Class enrollment is set for about
30, with the enrollment deadline of January 15.
Participation
in these classes has historically been diverse, including local elected
officials, school administrators, business and corporate leaders and
staff, bankers and individuals taking advantage of self-improvement and
networking opportunities.
