Fitch
Farms entertained around a hundred celebrities and guests at the 2007
National Championship Hunt that took place over the November 8-10
weekend. Forty-four hunters took advantage of ideal hunting and networking opportunities, bagging lots of quail. This year, television star Tom Lester and actor/songwriter Ed Bruce joined the team of celebrities to join the hunt. Country music entertainers Sonny Jackson and Tanya Davis provided music and song for guests in the evenings. Some
other special guests this year included John Rex Gates, who holds five
national championships and has won over 100 open championships during
his career. Gary Lockee, retired with the Bird Dog Museum at Grand Junction, Tenn., was back again this year. Other
VIPS included Tennessee Sen. and former Lt. Gov. John Wilder, and
Russell Humphrey and Matt King with the Tennessee Lt. Governor’s Office. Business
executives with Trustmark Bank, Tower Loan, Bank of Fayette County and
Northrop Grumman (shipbuilders) in Pascagoula, were among the many who
attended the hunt. Fitch Farms/Galena Plantation
boasts some of the finest dove, deer and turkey hunting and hospitality
that the Southeast has to offer. The experience is touted as “A Step Back In Time.” Guests enjoy old-fashioned Southern hospitality, cuisine, lodging, hunting and entertainment in a genuinely Southern setting. |
