A large crowd attended the dedication service for
the new fellowship hall at First Baptist Mt. Pleasant Sunday, Nov. 11.
Eddie Dunn from Memphis sang the special music. The pastor, Dr. Don Le
Belle, preached the message. After the message, Don Bumpus was
presented a gift certificate by all the Sunday school classes in an
appreciation for all the time and work he donated to the new fellowship
hall. Then all went to the fellowship hall for the dedication. Everyone
had a part in the service. A potluck meal was enjoyed by all. Full Story

after dinner, you can look forward to a special one, for science says
that people get sleepier on Thanksgiving than any other day of the year

Waterford News Elmira Curry Greenfield Presybterian Church hosts bazaar December 1 Be
strong and courageous. Do not be afraid. The Lord your God will go
ahead of you. He will be with you; He will neither fail you nor forsake
you. Our prayers go out to the sick, shut-in, the bereaved and the entire nation. There will be a congregation meeting at Greenfield Church Nov. 18 following the regular morning services. Miller’s
Court #301 and Waterford Lodge #450’s annual Banquet will be Saturday,
Nov. 24, 7 p.m. at Waterford Lodge Building. Donation, $12. A
bazaar will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, 7 a.m. - 4 p.m. at Greenfield
Church, three miles south of Waterford on Old Hwy. 7, phone
662-252-6070. There will be bargains,
music, games, food and fun for all. Books, clothes and toys will be on
sale, as well as household items, etc., also jewelry and other bargains.
Holly Springs News Henderson Milan Harvest Day program held Harvest
Day program, presented by the Missionary Society at Hopewell No. 1
Sunday, Nov. 4 during worship hour, included a welcome, acceptance,
reciting poems and paper reading. Music was provided by the
choir. Cora Walton has been elected as choir president of the adult
choir. Krystal DeBerry has been elected head musician at Hopewell No.
1. Samuel Chapel Missionary Society attended a movie entitled “Why I
Get Married” at Malco Theater in Memphis Friday. Hopewell
No. 1 members having a birthday in November: Penny DeBerry, Fannie
Wicker; Terrika Boga, 26; Sandra Pensons, 26; Alisha Jones, 27. The
congregation sang “Happy Birthday” to all. Samuel Chapel Church visited
Friendship Church Sunday. The pastor of Friendship is the former pastor of Shiloh Church in Benton County.
