Christmas Parade Dec. 1; registration forms available The
Holly Springs Christmas Parade, sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce,
will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, at 5 p.m.
The
parade, which will roll through the downtown area, will feature floats,
antique cars, bands and much more.

Early deadlines in place for next week’s South Reporter The
South Reporter announces early deadlines for its next edition.
The
newspaper office will be closed Thursday, Nov. 22, for the Thanksgiving
holiday.
The
deadlines for next week’s newspaper are this Friday at 12 noon for
classified advertising and this Friday at 5 p.m. for news, plus all
other advertising including legal notices.
“We
hope everyone has a happy and safe Thanksgiving,” said publisher Barry
Burleson, “and we appreciate everyone’s help in meeting these early
press deadlines.”
Byhalia chamber luncheon Thursday at Northcentral The
Byhalia Area Chamber of
Commerce announces its quarterly luncheon Thursday, Nov. 15. It will be
hosted by Northcentral Electric Power Association.
Speaker
for the luncheon, scheduled for 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., will be Kevin
Doddridge, general manager of NEPA. He will speak on “The Changing
Utility Industry.” Sheriff Kenny Dickerson and crew will be serving his
famous fish for lunch.

are required. Members’ lunches are free and others $5 donation.

Leadership program seeks members for Class of 2008 Leadership
Marshall County is recruiting its Class of 2008.
The
opening two-day retreat has been set for January 24-25 at Kirkwood.
Applications
for enrolling an employee or individual are being accepted at least
until December 15. Don’t miss out on a spectacular way to learn more
about the county and meet new people.
