Alvis Bradley, 66, of Hickory Flat, died Oct. 27, 2007 at his home. He
was a retired Coast Guard Vietnam veteran and also served six years
with the Navy.

Nov. 2, 2007 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Pine
Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Hickory Flat.
He
leaves his wife, Gordena Bradley; a son, Ronald Bradley Jr. of Hickory
Flat; two daughters, Kim Recharte of Camarillo, Calif., Taeng-On
Rachchusiri of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother, Wayne Bradley of Pahoa, Ha.;
four sisters, Billie Margaret Fowler, Ola Corine Meadows, both of Las
Vegas, Shelby Jean Plemmons of Hickory Flat, Elizabeth Wolff of
Michigan; and six grandchildren.

Louise Garrett, 80, of Byhalia, died Nov. 1, 2007 in Holly Springs.
Services
were held at 3 p.m. on Nov. 3 at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch.
Burial was in Byhalia Cemetery.
She
leaves her husband of 60 years, Buford Garrett; her son, Phillip
Garrett of Munford, Tenn.; a sister, Betty Overby; four grandchildren;
and three great-grandchildren.
She
was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Garrett Cox.

Walter
(Boots) McDerment, 83, of Lucedale, died Nov. 2, 2007 at St. Francis
Nursing Home in Memphis, Tenn. He was a Southern Baptist, a real estate
broker and a USS Enterprise Navy veteran of World War II.
Services
were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 9 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial was in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Moscow, Tenn. Bro. Bobby
Williams officiated.

leaves his wife, Lavelle
McDerment; three sons, Mitchell McDerment, Michael McDerment, both of
Honea Path, S.C., Lynn McDerment of Lucedale; a daughter, Patsy Holcomb
of Moscow, Tenn.; a brother, Fred McDerment of Tucson, Az.; seven
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

McNeil, 89, of Olive Branch, died Oct. 26, 2007 at his home. He was the
widower of Mary Lee McNeal and a retired farmer.

were held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 3 at Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Burial was in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Byhalia.

leaves two sons, Rosevelt Wilson of Byhalia, Lucas Mays of Seattle,
Wash.; a sister, May I. Woods of Fontana, Calif.; 14 grandchildren and
12 great-grandchildren.

Sallie
Mary Curry Naylor, 84, of Waterford, died Oct. 29, 2007 at Baptist
Hospital in Oxford. She was the widow of Randolph A. Naylor. She was a
member of Walton Chapel CME Church, a church usher and missionary; a
member of the Heroines of Jericho; and a self-employed beautician.
Services
were held at 1 p.m. on Nov. 2 at Asbury United Methodist Church in
Holly Springs. Burial was in Cottrell Memorial Garden. Rev. Gerald
Jordan officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.

Madison, Eddie Ruth Beaumont, Linda Miller, both of Memphis, Tenn.,
Wandra Irene Poindexter of Olive Branch; a son, Charles Albert Naylor
of Waterford; 17 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Young Yancey, 83, of Holly Springs, formerly of Ashland, died Oct. 29,
2007 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was the widow of
I.V. Yancey. She was a member of Everett Chapel MB Church, a church
usher and a retired domestic worker.
Services
were held at 2 p.m. on Nov. 3 at Pleasant Grove MB Church in Grand
Junction, Tenn. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Manuel Donis
officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of
arrangements.

Louise Reaves of Holly Springs, Van Reaves of Memphis, Tenn., Eland
Reaves of Ashland; two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and five
great-great-grandchildren.
