John Gray Morrison celebrates birthdayMany family members of 1-year-old John Gray Morrison met at his home and church to celebrate his birthday; it was Nov. 1. He is the son of Stacy and Johnathon Morrison. His grandparents are Rodney and Betty Whaley and Sue and Jerry Morrison.

There will be a dedication service for the new fellowship hall and to welcome the new pastor, Rev. Don LaBelle and wife. A potluck meal will be held Nov. 11, at First Baptist Mt. Pleasant.

Third annual Snow Lake Boat Parade set for November 24
The weather has been outstanding, and the reflections of the colored leaves on the lake are almost breathtaking. Living high up on the west side of the middle fork of the lake is well worth the effort of climbing the stairs.
Spring forward, fall backIt’s that time of year again. Last week, Americans set their clocks back one hour. Most of us will probably welcome the change. After work there is enough daylight savings time for us to have a few hours to do what we want.

Hopewell No. 1 hosts Marshall County Singing Union November 11
The Rev. Felix Tuggles of Bradford, Tenn., delivered the 11 a.m. sermon at Union Valley Church Sunday, Oct. 28.
Pastor and Mrs. Leroy James and members of Hopewell No. 1 sent a nice card to Mr. and Mrs. Henderson Milan on Sunday, Oct. 28 for their 56th wedding anniversary.
Benton County Singing Union was held at Samuel Church. Robert Talley, president.
Hopewell No. 1 will be host to Marshall County Singing Union Nov. 11, 3 p.m. Terry Kilpatrick, president.
