Three arrested on drug charges By SUE WATSON Staff Writer Three men were arrested in separate incidents on drug-related charges in October, according to Sheriff Kenny Dickerson. James
Lee Buford, 44, of 6266 Hernando Road in Byhalia, was arrested October
19 on an indictment warrant for arrest charging sale of a controlled
substance, Dickerson said. “After further
investigation, Buford was found to be in possession of a firearm,” he
said. “Because of a previous conviction for manslaughter in Marshall
County in November 1993, Buford was also charged with possession of a
firearm by a convicted felon. Buford is being held in Marshall County
jail without bond pending a hearing on possible probation violation
charges with the Mississippi Department of Corrections (MDOC).” Tavoris
Tunstall, 23, of 144 French Road in Byhalia, was arrested October 20
and charged with possession of cocaine, Dickerson said. Tunstall is
being held in Marshall County jail without bond pending a hearing on
possible probation violation with MDOC. Savaniel
Moore, 54, of 163 Winnie Road in Red Banks, was arrested October 21 and
charged with possession of a controlled substance enhanced by a
firearm, Dickerson said. Moore is being held in jail pending a bond
hearing.
Holly Springs police make five arrests Holly Springs police arrested five on various
charges and are investigating the burglary of a commercial building at
