Lake will be lowered for repairs
Where are all of our feathered friends? Before Hubby and I left for our vacation, I heard that our geese were visiting in our local farmers’ fields; but they were expected back to the lake this fall.

Mt. Pleasant Baptist celebrates homecoming October 21
Homecoming at First Baptist Mt. Pleasant will be Sunday, Oct. 21. Guest speaker will be Rev. Jimmy Sparks from Olive Branch. Singing in the afternoon. All former members and pastors are invited. Come and see our new fellowship hall and fellowship with us.
Hopewell No. 1’s Choir Day Oct. 28
Hopewell No. 1’s Choir Day will be Sunday, Oct. 28. Many choirs and solo singers have been invited. Cora Walton, president. Rev. Leroy James, host pastor.
Benton County Song Fest was held. New pastor Rev. Dewitt Glover was present.
Genetha Smith visited her daughter of Lamar and two grandsons in Memphis Sept. 22.
Our fifth Sunday meeting was held at the Baptist Association Building last Sunday.
Pastor and Mrs. Leroy James’s granddaughter was in a recital Sept. 30 in Memphis.
Hopewell No. 1’s Fall Revival will be for three nights, Oct. 24, 25 and 26. A Memphis minister will be the evangelist. The public is invited. Rev. Leroy James, host pastor.
