Police report arrest, thefts

Sharrilyn Gulledge, 21, of Holly Springs, was arrested and charged with domestic violence aggravated assault last week for allegedly attempting to injure a victim with a vehicle, according to police chief Robert Pearson.

The attempted assault on a male victim was alleged to have taken place in the 100 block of Shadow Lane. Gulledge is being held on $5,000 bond.

theft of a cell phone valued at $278 in the 100 block of Walthall Street.
an arrest in a petit larceny case that allegedly took place in the 100 block of East Boundary. Items taken included a seed sower, hedge clippers, three dog collars and various canine medications valued at $189.
a sexual battery reported in the 100 block of Walthall Street. The incident is under investigation.
the theft of a laptop valued at $1,270, reported stolen in the 800 block of West Street.
a robbery. The victim states she was robbed of $240 on Martin Luther King Drive. The incident is under investigation.
theft of four tires valued at $320 from a business on Martin Luther King Drive. The tires were taken by breaking out a window in the business.

Officers responded to the following calls: malicious mischief, two; disturbance, two; possession of a controlled substance, one; simple assault, one; domestic violence, one; property damage, one; driving with suspended license, one; public intoxication, one; and use of profane language in a public place, one.
