The Citizens Bank in Victoria was
burglarized in the early morning hours Monday, September 10, according
to Marshall County Sheriff Kenny Dickerson.
The suspect entered by breaking out a
window on the north side of the building, he said. As of mid-afternoon
Monday, nothing was reported missing by bank officials.
“We’ve collected information
during the course of the investigation we believe will be helpful in
identifying the suspect,” Dickerson said.
Sheriff’s investigators are seeking
information in an aggravated assault incident that took place at a night
club on Jamison Road off Highway 309 South in the Byhalia area, the
sheriff said. Antonio L. Gregory, 34, of 1392 Mt. Sinai Road in Byhalia
is charged with aggravated assault after he is alleged to have fired
a shot injuring one male subject in the chest area at the establishment
during the early morning hours Sunday, September 2.
The victim was transported to Alliance
Hospital, then transferred to North Mississippi Medical Center where
he was treated and released September 4, Dickerson said.
Bond for Gregory is set at $150,000.
The incident is still under investigation and Sheriff Dickerson asks
anyone with information concerning the case to call the sheriff’s
department at 662-252-1311.
In a separate incident that took place
August 13, Shelia Ann Dunlap, 52, of 2 Valley View Road in the Byhalia
area, was arrested and charged with grand larceny.
The larceny took place at a residence
at 203 St. Paul Road where a window air conditioning unit, some tools,
a push lawnmower and a Play Station with one game were taken, Dickerson
said. All items have been recovered. Bond for Dunlap has not been set
and she remained in jail Monday this week.
Meth lab arrests
Deputies served search warrants resulting
in the arrest of four individuals on illegal drug charges with the seizing
of six meth labs, Dickerson said.
An inactive methamphetamine lab was seized
on Croft Road in Barton, Friday, August 31 with four suspects arrested.
Charged with possession of methamphetamine,
possession of precursors and conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine
are Joseph Buchanan, 30, of 412 Croft Road; and Terry White, 43, of
2560 Taska Road, in Mt. Pleasant. Jody Foster, 29, of 373 Harts Way,
Collierville, Tenn., was charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine.
Buchanan is out on $10,000 bond, Dickerson
said. White remained in jail Monday this week on $10,000 bond. Foster
is out of jail on $5,000 bond.
Kenny Nance, 43, of 148 Lake Drive in
Barton is charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine and
remained in jail Monday on $5,000 bond.
One man was arrested on a separately
issued warrant September 5 at 340 Mary Lane in the Red Banks area.
Gary Eppes, 56, was arrested and charged
with possession of methamphetamine, possession of precursors and possession
of paraphernalia, Dickerson said. Eppes remained in jail Monday with
bond set at $20,000.
“The investigation is still
ongoing and we anticipate additional arrests,” Dickerson said.
