police arrest four; investigate incidents
Holly Springs police made four arrests
for the week ending September 10 and are investigating an auto theft
and burglary, according to chief Robert Pearson.
Jeremy Young, 18, of Holly Springs was
arrested Thursday, September 6, and charged with grand larceny, he said.
Marvin Walker, 51, of Holly Springs was also arrested Thursday and charged
with assault on a police officer and destroying city property.
A Hickory Flat man, Timothy Dale Smith,
32, was arrested Saturday, September 8, and charged with grand larceny,
Pearson said. And Ricky Norris Johnson, 47, of Holly Springs was arrested
Saturday and charged with felony DUI, according to police.
A 1992, maroon, Lincoln Town Car was
reported taken from a field at the end of Gordon Drive Monday, September
3. The incident is under investigation.
Police are also seeking suspects in a
burglary in the 100 block of North Market Street that took place Sunday,
September 9, Pearson said. A business owner responded to the scene and
discovered two hand guns - a .357 Rossi and a .38 Smith and Wesson -
missing from the business. Anyone with information regarding this burglary
is asked to immediately contact Sgt. Elijah Wilson at the police department.
Other activities for the week included
the following citations: driving while license suspended (6); expired
tag/no tag (3); expired license/no driver’s license (3); no proof
of insurance (9); disregard for traffic device (1); reckless driving
(1); public drunk (1); malicious mischief (2); simple assault (2); seatbelt
violation (9); child restraint (1); and parking in handicap zone (1).

just your information,” Pearson said.
Callers may be entitled to a reward
of up to $1,000.
