• Patriots host Cougars

for the Marshall Academy Patriots.
In a rather unusual scheduling twist,
the Patriots kick off the season this Friday night against a district
opponent. MA hosts Lee (Ark.) at 7:30 p.m. Normally, district games
fall later in the season.

Hawks go
to New Albany Thursday for practice games

Clifford Brown, head coach of the
Holly Springs football Hawks, will be looking for leaders Thursday night
at New Albany.
Holly High will play the Bulldogs in
a jamboree. The varsity teams from the two schools kick off at 7:30.
Prior to that, there will be ninth grade and junior varsity jamboree
contests at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., respectively.

The Holly Springs Parks and Recreation
Department will have a meeting concerning flag football for ages 12
and under on Monday, Aug. 27, at 6:30 p.m.
The meeting will be held at the Eddie

Benefit
tournament this Saturday
The second annual Potts Camp Benefit Softball
Tournament will be held Saturday, Aug. 25.
There are openings for men’s and
coed teams. Entry fee is $150 per team.

The tournament will assist a local couple
who has a sick child with their medical bills.
