season August 2 against defending state champion Leake Academy on the
road. According to coach Susan Rodgers, “To be the best we have
to beat the best.”

Beating
out a bunt

competed in the Dizzy Dean World Series at Southaven. (Above)

Soccer clinic
scheduled August 20
The Holly Springs Parks and Recreation
Department will have a soccer clinic for youth ages 10 and under.
The clinic will be held Monday, Aug.
20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Eddie L. Smith Jr. Multi-Purpose Building.

Ole Miss season ticket holders hosted a reception
Thursday night at the Court Square Inn in downtown Holly Springs.
Special guest was senior Rebel quarterback Seth Adams, a Marshall
Academy graduate. Visiting with Adams are Stephen Elgin (left) and
Jacob Shaw. Ole Miss kicks off the season Saturday, Sept. 1, at Memphis.
