Public school football teams could start practice Monday, and Holly Springs High School wasted no time.

What a way to start a season.
Marshall Academy opened the softball season August 2 against defending state champion Leake Academy on the road. According to coach Susan Rodgers, “To be the best we have to beat the best.”
Historic night in San Diego
The “journey” has been long and tedious. It has taken Barry Bonds hither, thither and yon. Through most all the Major League ball parks in the nation. He has withstood the verbal and silent barbs of an ambivealent public.
Soccer clinic scheduled August 20
The Holly Springs Parks and Recreation Department will have a soccer clinic for youth ages 10 and under.
The clinic will be held Monday, Aug. 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the Eddie L. Smith Jr. Multi-Purpose Building.

This is the last call for registration for the 2007 season.
The Mt. Pleasant Lions Youth Football and Cheer Organization still has slots available for participation in both football and cheerleading for the 2007 season.
