The walls at historic Burton Place in Holly Springs are coming alive thanks to Victor Moore of Henderson, Tenn. One dies in Hwy. 72 accident A two-vehicle collision in Marshall County killed a Tennessee driver and left another injured, authorities said. The accident occurred early Monday at a U.S. Highway 72 intersection in Marshall County. Officers said Hubert A. Williams, 56, of Memphis, was southbound on Mississippi Highway 311 when his pickup truck collided at an intersection with a vehicle being driven by Olympia A. Anderson, 30, of Bolivar, Tenn. Anderson was eastbound on U.S. 72, according to a Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal article. Authorities said Williams was pronounced dead at the scene while Anderson was injured.
Ship’s reunion scheduled for June 2008 The Nuclear Attack Aircraft Carrier USS NIMITZ is currently deployed to the Persian Gulf in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Over 40,000 U.S. citizens have served on the great ship Nimitz over the past 32 years. She will serve our country for at least 18 more years for a total of 50. We are trying to locate as many former shipmates as possible. The USS Nimitz (CVN-68), Association is looking for shipmates (ship’s company, staff, squadrons and detachments) who served on board the nuclear attack aircraft carrier for a ship’s reunion in Nashville, Tenn., June 19-22, 2008.
