Exciting times for our region
The Toyota interest continues to gain momentum.
I got a call last week about our front page story, headlined “Training time for Toyota.”
“Is Toyota going to put something here?” was the question.

I suppose that by now all friends in the reach of this column will know of the marriage of Cathryn Miller and Bradley Douglas, a happy occasion that graced our church last Saturday evening.

My father died on Aug. 6, 1989, at the age of 69. On May 12, I saw him again.
That was the day my wife and I attended a reunion on the USS Hugh W. Hadley for the first time. This year, the surviving members of the Hadley crew came to Washington, their second visit to the city.
