Fireworks extravaganza well attended; Ladies Auxiliary plans sale August 4

Once again, Chief Flake Farmer provided us with a great fireworks display celebrating the birth of our country. Thanks, Flake; your efforts are very much appreciated by our citizens and those who stopped to watch the show.
Annie Ruth Stone honored on birthday
Polly and Edwin Churchill attended a large family reunion in Booneville on June 30. It was the “Hi Saw Reunion.” Her brother Lloyd and Shirley Defer from Water Valley attended also. They enjoyed delicious food and good music.

Cothern family reunion July 21
Vacation Bible school was a big success at Carey Chapel Baptist Church last week. They had 106 enrolled; the average attendance was 99.
Family reunion held
A family reunion was held Sunday, July 1 in the beautiful home of Rev. and Mrs. Jimmy Stewart Sr. of Como. A tour of the home was given by his mother. Blessing was asked by Rev. Stewart. Lunch was served to a large crowd in four dining rooms of the home. Good conversations were held among the family members. They were present from Memphis, Bartlett, Collierville and Byhalia. Mr. and Mrs. Henderson Milan were the oldest people of Holly Springs present at the reunion.
