4th of July

• PARADE DAY Please come ride your decorated mower, 4-wheeler, tractor, classic car, truck or bicycle. Be creative! The parade begins 9 a.m. at the corner of N. and W. Sweetwater Rd., traveling around the subdivision and ending at 216 W. Sweetwater. Refreshments will be served immediately after. Entertainment by Harold Tolbert. All military, police, firemen and others who have served and are serving our country will be honored. Anyone who can help serve refreshments please call 662-895-6616.

• Star SpangLED Celebration hosted by Friendship Assembly of God - Victoria. Cook-out, basketball scrimmage with youth and ministry leaders, fellowship. In the evening a sky display of fireworks for all ages -- celebration starts at 6 p.m. For more info. contact the church office at 838-4000.

• REUNION CANCELLED The reunion for the Alexander, Clayborn, Duke and Shaw families has been cancelled due to illness. Thank you for attending for seven years.

• PASTOR’S BANQUET Jones Grove Church will celebrate their pastor and wife’s banquet, Sat., July 7, 7 p.m. in the Rising Star MB Church fellowship hall. Rev. • ANNIVERSARY St. Paul MB Church, Byhalia, will celebrate their pastor and wife’s 18th anniversary, Sun., July 8, beginning during morning worship. Special guest church will be Pastor Calvin Johnson and Willow Spring MB Church of Tuscaloosa, Ala. • BENEFIT will be held at Thomas Arena for Odis M. Pruitt, 12 p.m. till 7 p.m., cancer patient needing a bone marrow transplant and chemo. There will be a gospel singing, concessions and a bake sale. Odis is a 1983 graduate of Holly Springs High School and the grandson of the late Odis and Dora Rhea of Holly Springs.

• APPRECIATION BANQUET Pleasant Hill CME Church in Mt. Pleasant hosts a Night of Love and Appreciation Banquet at Mt. Pisgah CME Church for Rev. and Mrs. Willie Hoey at 7 p.m.
