On Thursday, June 14, the managers at the Thomas & Betts Central Distribution Center, located at 442 East Stonewall Road in Byhalia, cooked hot dogs and hamburgers for all of their associates in honor of this monumental safety milestone.
This climaxed a week of celebration, which included donuts, ice cream, gift certificates, and other tokens of appreciation. From June 11, 2005 through April 21, 2007, the CDC associates worked 1,000,000 hours without a lost time incident.
“All of our associates have had to work together to maintain a high level of safety awareness to hit this milestone,” said David Dean, VP of customer service and logistics for Thomas and Betts. “I personally would like to thank and congratulate them for the commitment to safety that they have embraced which has provided us with a safe place to work.”
