• FORESTRY QUARTERLY MEETING Marshall County Forestry Association will hold their quarterly meeting on Thursday, June 21, at the Marshall County Fairgrounds with registration starting at 6:30 p.m. This will be a potluck meal and everyone is asked to bring a side dish and dessert. Tim Traugott of Grenada, Extension Professor, FWRC-Forestry, will present a program on Tree Farm Certification. For additional information and to register for this program, contact the Marshall Co. Extension Service at 662-252-3541 by June 20.

• Byhalia Clydesdale Festival will be held June 21-23 at Hwy. 78 and Hwy. 309. There will be a carnival, hot wing contest, pony and horse pull, political speaking, motorcycle rally, rodeo, and music. All proceeds benefit Clydesdale Christmas Store.

• 4-H MEETING The Lessye Lee Davis 4-H Club junior members will meet at the Marshall County Library, 6 p.m. to finish Christmas ornaments.

• MEETING Byhalia High School Band parents’ meeting at 6 p.m. in the high school commons area. Please come and support the Indians’ band.

• Are you registered to vote? There will be a voter registration booth set up during the Byhalia Clydesdale Festival June 21 - 23, noon till 7 p.m. daily. You must be registered to vote no later than July 7 at noon to vote in the primary elections.

• BENEFIT YARD SALE Fri. and Sat., corner of Stonewall Rd. and Hwy. 309 in Byhalia to benefit the Marshall County Stunners softball team. Beginning at 6 a.m.

• ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION Isom Chapel CME Church will have Rev. Joe T. Lester and wife, Bertha Lester’s 20th anniversary celebration June 23-24 at Isom Chapel Church, 1436 Isom Chapel Rd., Holly Springs. Rev. Gifton Jones and New Jerusalem MB Church of Memphis, Tenn. will be guests June 23. Guests on June 24 will be Rev. Willie Hoey and Pleasant Hill CME Church at 11 a.m.; Rev. J.W. Sweetwater Rd., traveling around the subdivision and ending at 216 W. Sweetwater. Refreshments will be served immediately after. Entertainment by Harold Tolbert. Odis is a 1983 graduate of Holly Springs High School and the grandson of the late Odis and Dora Rhea of Holly Springs.
