News Miller’s Court sponsors salad fiesta June 23 The gift of grace: By grace you have been saved, through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8 Greenfield Presbyterian Church celebrated their Calendar drive and Youth Day program on Sun., May 27. It was wonderful. The order of service: Song, congregation, prayer by Min. Washing, scripture, Min. George. Ecc. 12:1-8 and Jeremiah 1:6-12. Selection, Greenfield Choir. Introduction of emcee, Min. Evelyn Elliott. Master of ceremony, Bro. Scottie James of Mt. Peel MB Church. Welcome, LaKesha Siggers; acceptance, Sis. Cynphonie Smith from Abundant Truth Salt and Light Ministries. Selection, Greenfield Choir. Theme, Mardea George; song Joshua Blake, Alexandria Blake and Ashleigh Johnson. Each month was represented by an adult captain with the exception of the month of August, which was represented by three-year-old Joshua Blake. Joshua represented with $280, with help from his family and friends. We thank you, you and you for your donations. He also recited the Bible verse Joshua 24:15. Readings were by Anielcia Myers and Frances Weah. Guest speaker was Minister Thaddeus DeWayne Jefferson, assistant minister of Abundant Truth, Salt and Light Ministries of Oxford. His sister, Kaneshia Brown of New Dimension Salt and Light Ministries of Holly Springs introduced him. The theme was: Youth walking in purpose. Solo by Terry Miller; vote of thanks, Sis. Lavora Blake; remarks by Elder Wayne Jefferson, father of the speaker; Bro. Terry Miller of Memphis, Tenn., Min. Washington, pastor of the speaker; and Rev. Dr. Coker A. George Jr., host pastor. Miller’s Court No. 301 Heroines of Jericho will sponsor a salad fiesta/women of the Bible, June 23, 6:30 p.m. at the Waterford Lodge Hall. The public is invited. Sis. Queen Martin, Matron, Sis.
