City police write 108 citations Holly Springs police officers arrested a city resident Sunday, May 27, and charged him with possession of a stolen vehicle, according to chief Robert Pearson. The man was later released when officers learned the vehicle was rented from Corinth Rent-to-Own by a female acquaintance, and payments were in arrears for approximately one year, the chief said. “This case of an embezzlement is being handled by Corinth Police Department,” he said. Officers wrote 108 citations for the week ending May 28: no proof of insurance (86); expired tag, no tag (4); no driver’s or expired driver’s license (7); driving while license suspended (3); simple assault/domestic assault (4); carrying a concealed weapon (1); no trailer tag (2); and no child restraint (1). Chief Pearson asked anyone with information regarding any crime in Holly Springs/Marshall County area, to contact the Holly Springs Police Department at 662-252-2122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-729-2169. Callers do not have to give their name when leaving a tip with law enforcement and may be entitled to a reward of up to $1,000 if the case is solved. Crime Stoppers is open to new members.
