Police look for two suspects The Holly Springs Police Department is seeking Ioma Stewart, 39, and Nancy Stewart, 51, both of 185 West Woodward Avenue, for an interview in connection with an aggravated assault, according to chief Robert Pearson. He said the two suspects are alleged to have cut Dinier Strickland, 40, of Holly Springs with a razor on May 18, 2007, in the 100 block of Memphis Street. Strickland was transported to Oxford where she received medical attention, he said. Police are still investigating the incident. A Holly Springs man was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and armed robbery last week. Dontral Campbell, 26, of Holly Springs, was arrested in a robbery that reportedly took place at M.I. College Homes Apartments on West Woodward, Thursday May 17. The incident is still under investigation. Holly Springs drivers are advised that police will be conducting checkpoints throughout the city over the Memorial Day holiday. The department will be issuing citations for DUI, outstanding warrants, suspended licenses, seatbelt violations, etc. These checkpoints are a part of the national DUI enforcement program. Officers also responded to the following incidents last week: no proof of insurance (3); expired tag (2); no driver’s or expired driver’s license (3); driving while license is suspended (1); simple assault/domestic violence (2); shoplifting (1); leaving the scene of an accident (1); possession of paraphernalia (1); false identification (1); and loud music (1).
