Mr. and Mrs. Ricky Rhodes of Holly Springs and Greg Curtis of Como are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Mandi Camille Curtis of Holly Springs to Matthew Carr Gardner, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bud Gardner of Greenwood. Mandi is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Canada of Holly Springs, Tawanda Rhodes of Holly Springs and the late Milton Rhodes, and Mr. and Mrs. Mallory Curtis of Michigan City. She is a graduate of Marshall Academy and a 2007 graduate of Northeast Community College with an associate of applied science degree in dental hygiene. Matthew is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Sproles of Greenwood and Mr. and Mrs. Lee Gardner of Greenwood. He is a graduate of Carroll Academy and Northwest Mississippi Community College with an associate of applied science degree in funeral service technology. He is currently employed with Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in Greenwood. The couple will exchange vows at 5 p.m. on June 24 at Paris-Yates Chapel in Oxford. A reception will follow at The Ole Miss-Oxford Depot. Friends and relatives of the couple are invited. After a honeymoon to the Bahamas, the couple will make their home in Greenwood. Korrie Stanton and Jeffery Smith to wed June 2 at First Baptist in Saltillo
Franky Stanton of Hickory Flat and Denise Cook of Potts Camp announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Korrie Michelle Stanton of Potts Camp to Jeffery Allen Smith of Saltillo. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Smith of Saltillo. Korrie is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hank Thomas of Waterloo, Ala. and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stanton of Hickory Flat. She is a 2004 honor graduate of Potts Camp High School and will be a 2008 graduate of Blue Mountain College with a BS in elementary education. Honors at Blue Mountain include Eunomian, homecoming maid, member of King’s Troupe and basketball manager. Jeffery is the grandson of Thomas Wilhite of Baldwyn and the late Bernice Wilhite and the late Mr. and Mrs. Earl Smith of Saltillo. He is a 2003 graduate of Saltillo High School, where he played football. He is a 2007 graduate of Blue Mountain College with a B.S. in church related vocation in Biblical studies. He is an associate pastor of Toxish Baptist Church and an image specialist at BancorpSouth in Tupelo. The wedding will be held at 4 p.m. on June 2, 2007 at the First Baptist Church of Saltillo. All family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
Museuming Graduation day, a new page in life Graduation Day is a new page in the life of the graduates. Remember when you graduated? We are so young then but we liked to think how grown-up we were, not realizing that being grown-up is a perpetual state and childhood is a thing of the past, gone forever.
