Justin Fitch sworn in as member of the Mississippi Bar Association

Justin Fitch was recently sworn in as a member of the Mississippi Bar Association and is now licensed to practice law in the state of Mississipi. He attended undergaduate school at the University of Mississippi, where he obtained a degree in managerial finance and banking and finance. He was awarded a juris doctorate degree at Mississippi College Law School in Jackson.

Justin is a special assistant attorney general with the Attorney General’s office in Jackson.

Those present at the admission ceremony were his wife, Nina; his parents, Walker Fitch of Holly Springs and Cindy and John Booth Farese of Ashland and Lynn Fitch of Madison.

Class reunion

The 30th class reunion of Potts Camp High School’s class of 1977 will be held Friday, June 1 at Wall Doxey State Park Lodge beginning at 6:30 p.m. Classes of 1975, 1976 and 1978 are invited to attend.

We are inviting former high school teachers to be our guests. Please come and join us for food, fun and lots of catching up! We look forward to a great reunion.

GEO awards scholarships to local students

Believing that education truly can open the doors to a better life, it is with pride that the Marshall County Correctional Facility and The GEO Group, Inc. announce the recipients of the student scholarships for the year 2007. We are proud of each of these deserving young people and wish them success in their educational endeavors.

Sisters graduate
Carole Lee Webb, left, and Lauren Elizabeth Webb were graduated from college and law school this past weekend. Carole received a Bachelor of Science degree in family and consumer sciences with a concentration in hospitality management from the University of Mississippi. She will be moving to Nashville, Tenn. in August and has accepted a management position with J. Alexander restaurant. Lauren received her Juris Doctorate degree from Vanderbilt Law School in Nashville, Tenn. and will move to Manhattan, New York, also in August, and has accepted a position with King & Spalding. They are the daughters of Walter W. Webb and Betty Carole Pearson Wittjen, both of Holly Springs.
