A while back I went to a boat launching on McKellar Lake. The boat was named after my grandson John and is a working boat. It will ply the inland waterways of America. John launched the boat with a bottle of champagne and the Lord’s blessing, with the help of his pastor. The boat was built way down yonder in Louisiana, south of New Orleans. The building of a boat is rather like building a house. This boat is four stories tall, has a modern galley and dining space and several bunk rooms. On the top floor, it has a “crow’s nest” where the steering apparatus is located. The nest is retractable, so it can travel under bridges on the rivers. It also has a very powerful, Caterpillar diesel engine. Report News:
