Henry, 53, of Holly Springs May 8 and charged him with burglary of a commercial building, according to police chief Robert Pearson. Officers made the arrest following an alarm call in the 100 block of Whaley Drive. All items taken in the burglary were returned to the owner. Also last week, Pearson said officers arrested and charged Bobbie Jean Webber, 64, of Mt. Pleasant with aggravated assault, stemming from an alleged incident at the Eddie Lee Smith Boulevard on Highway 7 North April 29. Officers arrested Roy Alvin Burnett Abbitt, 47, of Holly Springs May 8. Abbitt, who awaits extradition, is wanted on charges of sexual battery in an incident that occurred in Texas, Pearson said. Other activities last week included the following citations: no proof of insurance (3); expired tag (2); no driver’s or expired license (4); driving while license suspended (3); simple assault/domestic violence (3); shoplifting (1); and disorderly conduct (1). Chief Pearson reminds drivers to observe speed limits in school zones and to watch out for children and stop for buses loading and unloading passengers.
