Marshall County Humane Society News Flea market set for Saturday at VFW The Marshall County Humane Society is having its first meeting of the year next Tuesday, January 16, at 6 p.m. at the public library in Holly Springs. We will be scheduling our fund raisers for the upcoming year and setting priorities on our projects so this is an especially important get-together. If you are interested in becoming a member this would be the right time to jump in at the start of this new year. Everyone is welcome to come and discuss your concerns and, hopefully, suggest solutions. This weekend is Second Saturday. Join us at the VFW in Holly Springs between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. and see what great bargains you can find. The variety is limited only by the imaginations of the vendors. If you are interested in a booth for a future Second Saturday call Lynn Pullen at 901-490-8553. Our low-cost Spay/Neuter Clinic will be closed Wednesday, January 17, but will resume our regular Wednesday schedule thereafter. If you need an appointment for your pet call 662-252-6196. Yes, I’m answering the phone again. A mosquito chased me around my backyard last week, a reminder to dump any standing water after all this rain and keep the heart worm prevention treatments on schedule. For information on adoptions, fostering or anything but the Spay/Neuter Clinic call 662-564-2900. Correspondence and donations should be sent to the Marshall County Humane Society, P.O. Box 625, Holly Springs, MS 38635.
