Byhalia Chamber celebration Jan. 18

The ninth annual Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce Celebration Thursday, Jan. 18, will include awards, food, entertainment and more.

The highlights of the evening will be the introduction of a new marble and granite showroom at Barden Stone, plus award presentations, gift baskets raffle, Elvis tribute artist and recognition of the 2006 Chamber Champion Sponsors.

The reception begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and the program following at 7 p.m. Barden Stone is located at 89 Edwards Road, Byhalia. Take Highway 178 to Edwards Road at the Byhalia Industrial Park.

The event will be catered by Specialties by Sheree, Trevecca Manor and PattyCakes, Etc.

Cost is $30 per person (includes reception, meal and drink ticket).

Sustaining members receive one admission and sponsors receive four admissions.

Reservations are required by Monday, Jan. 15. Call the Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce at 662-838-8127.

Nominations are open for 2006 Leader of the Year.

Qualifications to consider in making nominations include:

Recommended: The Leader of the Year should be a Byhalia Area Chamber member or be affiliated with a member.
Someone who is or has been active and made a notable impact with the chamber of commerce, schools, churches, and/or civic organizations (school, church and/or civic organization, excludes political affiliations).
Someone dedicated and committed by volunteering with time, service and/or gifts.

All forms must be returned no later than Monday, Jan. 15, to the Byhalia Area Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 910, Byhalia, MS 38611, or bring to 2452 Church Street, Byhalia or FAX 662-838-8128.

The Leader of the Year will be awarded at the Chamber Celebration on January 18.
