EducationPre-registration set at H.W. Byers Pre-registration will be held at H.W. Byers Elementary School on Monday, May 21 from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and Tuesday, May 17 from 3 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Parents, please bring with you the following documents in order to complete registration: 1. Mississippi Immunization Compliance Form (get this from the Health Dept.) 2. Certified copy of child’s birth certificate (not mother’s copy). 3. Child’s Social Security card. 4. Friendship Christian Academy news At FCA the students have a lot to look forward to. With “Career Week” this week they have been introduced to many new choices of careers. Carey Freeze came to share his experience in physical therapy and his testimony of how God will place you in the right career choice if you let Him and are aware of His calling. Amber Hailey also came to share her experience in the field of dentistry and explained the importance of good dental hygiene. Ray Tilley brought his experiences in over-the-road transportation, and management skills. Friday, Ron Childers of News Channel 5 shared different aspects of the meteorology field. Other activities at FCA include classes taking field trips to FunQuest in Collierville to learn more about working together as a team and just enjoying a good day of fun. The annual school carnival was held Friday, May 4. Each year the students enjoy having a day outside playing on inflatables, games, water slides, with face painting, food and lots of fun. This year they will have many new and exciting challenges like parachute rides, big foot races, Slip’n Slides, dunk tanks, shoot out electronic basketball, relay racing and much, much more. HSI School calendar of events Teacher’s Appreciation Day: Holly Springs Intermediate School is inviting parents and community leaders to come and show their appreciation to teachers by allowing them to have a duty-free lunch on Wednesday, May 9.
