Mayor donates work vehicle to town; moonlight cruise June 5

The Mississippi Forestry personnel, after choosing our town to become a “Firewise” Community, were here last Saturday for Firewise Day. They arrived with lots of gifts and brochures for our citizens, but only our town’s mayor, three members of the corporation, and a few volunteers greeted them. A wonderful barbecue lunch was served to the few faithful volunteers who helped in cleaning up our town.

Baby dedication honors Drake and Christian Johnson

A baby dedication service was held at First Baptist Church, Mt. Pleasant, during the Sunday morning service for Drake and Christian Johnson, children of Steve and Michelle Johnson. Grandparents are Billy and Estelle McClure.
