high Patriots second in district; many take ribbons

The Marshall Academy boys claimed the
second-place trophy in the Junior High District Meet Saturday at Lee
(Clarksdale).
Top finishers for the Patriots included:
- Long jump, Jordan Brock, third;
- Discus, Joey Brock, third; John Tomlinson, fourth.
- Shot put, John Tomlinson, third; Joey Brock, fourth;
- Triple jump, Jordan Brock, second;
- 3200 meter run, Jake Delashmit, second; Chase Carpenter, third.
- 300m hurdles, John Tomlinson, third; Elgin Lafever, fifth.
- 800m relay - Joey Brock, Jordan Brock, Hank Owens, Tyler Childers
- first.
- 3200m relay - Andy Burleson, Josh Thompson, Aaron McAlexander,
Neil Murphy - second.
- 400m relay - Joey Brock, Jordan Brock, Hank Owens, Tyler Childers
