Patriots, Lady Patriots win ribbons in track meet

The Marshall Academy junior varsity and
varsity boys had the best showings in last week’s invitational
track meet at Patriot Field.
The JV Patriots finished first with 84
points, ahead of Marvell with 77, Kirk with 70 and Magnolia Heights
with 30.
The Patriots placed second. Their 66
points narrowly trailed Kirk’s 68. Magnolia Heights took third
with a score of 46. Other competitors included North Delta, 20; Delta,
10; and West Memphis Christian, 8.
The varsity Lady Patriots finished third
with 40 points. First went to Kirk with 75 and second to Magnolia Heights
with 69. West Memphis got 12 points for fourth.
The junor varsity Lady Patriots placed
fifth with 20 points, behind Kirk, 68; Magnolia Heights, 60; Marvell,
27; and North Delta, 23.

The junior high Patriots and Lady Patriots

meet. The senior high district meet is Saturday, April 21, at Lee (Clarksdale).
