Arrest made in hit-and-run By SUE WATSON Marshall Miller, 26, of a Michigan City area address in Benton County, was arrested last week and charged in connection with a hit-and-run accident on Skating Rink Road in which two juveniles were injured, according to sheriff Kenny Dickerson. The Marshall County Sheriff’s department had been looking for the white Lincoln with blue vinyl top since the vehicle collided in the middle of the road with a four-wheeler being driven by two juveniles on March 16. Dickerson said confidential information received at the sheriff’s department was key to locating the vehicle and ultimately Miller. “As a result of confidential information we received Friday and a follow up, my officers did find a Lincoln matching that description parked behind a residence off French Road in the Victoria area,” Dickerson said. Miller was charged with one count felony of leaving the scene of an accident with injuries and one count misdemeanor for leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, Dickerson said. Miller remained in jail on $5,000 bond Monday where he awaits in custody with a hold on probation violation from the Mississippi Department of Corrections on a previous felony conviction. “I do anticipate a hearing before a circuit judge soon regarding Miller’s prior probation violation,” Dickerson said. Three other individuals were also taken into custody in addition to Miller on possible probation violation charges, the sheriff said. They were not charged in connection with the hit-and-run accident, he said. Report News:
